Plaza Midwood ant priced out of cinder block ownership

CHARLOTTE — A longtime Plaza Midwood ant confirmed Tuesday that he has been priced out of the decorative cinder block he has lived beneath for the past three years following the arrival of a new luxury patio installation on Central Avenue.

“It used to be just a regular cinder block,” said the ant, who explained that recent renovations had transformed the structure into what developers now describe as a “modern outdoor gathering space.” “Now suddenly it’s ‘architectural,’ and my rent is three crumbs a month.”

At press time, the ant was reportedly exploring more affordable housing options beneath a cracked section of sidewalk in nearby Commonwealth.
